The next 14th of October will be the hundredth anniversary of the birth of Hannah Arendt (1906-1975), the most important philosopher and political scientist of the past 20th century, whose rich works include themes like human action, the North American revolution, totalitarianism, and the Jewish world. In October, four accredited experts of the Arendtian work will analyze through four conferences the several profiles of her theoretical-political project.
Born and intellectually trained in Germany with masters like Martin Heidegger and Karl Jaspers, her life synthesizes the European continental tradition with the English-speaking one, as in 1941 she migrated to the United States, and ten years later obtained the US nationality. The Origins of Totalitarianism (1951), The Human Condition (1958), Eichmann in Jerusalem (1963), On Revolution or Crises of the Republic (1972) are some of her most known titles.
